Are you sure that's a 1974? I thought they went to big black bumpers in 1974 and it spoiled the design had with the smaller chrome bumpers. Yet this one has the chrome bumpers, I can see a tip of the rear in one shot/

Nice shots P.

Hey Cazz,
The Historic plates on it said 1974.....:engel016:

I'd say that the 'Twiggy with Tits' bumpers have been removed.
Common practice back in the day, just about the first modification immediately after taking ownership, but the wheels, indicator lights and seats (if original) would mark it as a late model.
When I was younger and less discriminating (around 1969-1970) I had a girlfriend who drove a very nice blue MG B-GT, her 21st Birthday 'Gift' from over indulgent parents.
Rather a nice car, the last of the anaemic four cylinder models to be sure, but it always looked the part.
Come to think of it, Jo was nicely packaged as well, we didn't last as a couple once the dreaded 'M' word came up ...................... :kilroy:

When I was a kid growing up I always dreamed about owning a 'fastback' version of the MG B-GT. I loved that car. When I started working one of the senior secretaries in the company had one and boy was I jealous!

Here is a picture of a picture of the car my oldest brother used to own. An MG BGT. 1967 or'69 I believe. Fun car to drive.

Nice sports car. My favorite is the 64' Jaguar XK E series. My uncle owned one,
He barely had his foot on the gas and he was doing 100. It was antique white with
a red interior. This was while britain was still making them. :)

Looking again, it does appear the large rubberized bumpers have been removed (notice how large the cut-out at the rear bumper is) and replaced with Chrome.

I love those older 'sports' type dashboards with lots of gauges all over the place.

Love the early MGB's, my neighbor owns a green MGB GT with wire wheels. It's in mint condition, but he hasn't driven it in years, setting in the garage with boxes on top of it.

Hey...put that steering wheel back over the other side where it belongs. :wavey:
