Decided to punch a couple of holes in the sky this morning. Took off from a random airport in Washington State, in this case WA55, and flew west, into the region covered by the ORBX FTX PNW scenery, and look what loomed out of the clouds, Mt. Rainier! The plane is the Sky Unlimited P-38J, one of my favoritest FSX planes. I was so impressed with the view I took a few kodaks to share.

Mt. Rainier. On a clear, crisp day, just one of the most beautiful sights there are to see in Washington state. Of which I get to see almost daily on my way to work:jump:

One of the sayings in the Mt Rainier area is: "If you can see it, it is going to rain, if you can't see it, it is raining." (grin)

Ah, but the real secret for us Whidbey Island residents is that we live in the shadow (the rain shadow) of the Olympic Mountains, so we get less than half the anual rain fall as the Seattle folks do. Well, that only counts for northern Whidbey Island...
