Il-2 Sturmovik: Cliffs Of Dover Retail Patch v 1.01.14550

THIS PATCH INFO FROM LUTHIER May 20,2011 at 9:30 AM PST

We're releasing a hot fix to mainly address the DB prop pitch as well as a few other issues.

Should be available from steam in a few hours.

Hotfix notes edited into the main post, plus here they are again.

ATTENTION!
If you experience sub-par performance or unexpected artifacts please update your graphic
drivers to the latest version.

NVidia Cards:

Additionally, if you have disabled Cloud Synchronization for config files, you may be playing
a game with an obsolete controls config. Please back up and delete your old file and reenable
Cloud Synchronization to grab a latest stock version.

GENERAL
* The game will now automatically delete and recreate its cache when a new game
version is installed;
* Medium-range terrain detail noise is less dramatic when seen from up-close;
* Improved the lighting of spline roads and runways;
* Fixed empty tooltips occasionally appearing at edges of the 2D map;
* Map zoom extents now reset properly when switching between game maps of
different size;
* By popular demand, enemy indicator arrows will now only appear in the no-cockpit
view, and will not show up when the cockpit is turned on, i.e. work they did in
the original Il-2 games.

AIRCRAFT INTERNALS
* Removed warnings of a missing "Select_F1" piece when flying a Hurricane.
* The Sunderland will no longer cause errors when loading a mission.

AIRCRAFT VISUALS
* Inverted the movement of the Bf. 109's radiator flap indicator (raised when
radiator closed).
* Propellor visuals are now tied to epilepsy filter settings applicable regions.

AIRCRAFT PHYSICS & A.I.
* Spitfires' payload in outer-most machine guns changed to contain tracers. The more
historical no-tracers loadout can still be selected and applied manually in plane
options.
* Removed the ability to feather propellors on Daimler-Benz engines by increasing
the pitch angle beyond normal operational range manually.

MULTIPLAYER
* Conversion settings should properly synchronize between all players;
* Fixed the weapon selection grid in online games requiring an extra click to save.

This patch made things much better.

I was having good luck with CLoD before but now very good.

There are some that are still having trouble with loading and such but I do not think its CLoD.

I think its there video card settings. Most of them have top end PC that say thy are having the trouble. Like I sayed I think its them not the sim.

This is what I have:

Intel core Duo E8600 @ 3.33GHz
Ram 4GB
550 watt power supply
Video card GTX 470 1280 MB GDDR5
MOBO- Gigabyte GA-EP45_UD3P
Duel partition
Windows XP Pro 32bit.
Windows 7 64 bit.
CoD in W-7 64 bit
Fraps
x52
MSWFF Pro 2
TIR5
Monitor- HP-19, HP-24 or a VIZIO 42in screen.
Turtle Beach Gaming Headset and Mic.

I get better FPS in CLod then in CFS3 and the expansions or FSX .

This is what I have to say about CLoD and the trolls.

In hummer of course.:icon_lol:

I'll give credit where it is due and this sounds like CLod is now on the right course. I still have not purchased it, but perhaps I will. My system meets or exceeds that of Flyer01's except for the video card. I should probably upgrade it as I expect to keep this computer for a while longer.

Just tried a couple of the new quick missions. They are excellent!

I was having dogfights over land with no performance issues.

We are definatlyon track now with this sim

The thing is you can fly CLoD in XP 32 bit. To get the best out of CLoD you need 64 bit.
If your going to upgrade your video card get one that is good for DX 10/11.

My wife's PC is vista 64 bit and I did not like vista after using XP so I stayed with XP in the PC I put together.

I now have W-7 32 /64 bit and I do not like XP now LOL. W-7 is a good OS.

The main thing about w-7 is the DX10/11 and all the ram you can put in.

This is the thing about CLoD is the money to up date the PC.

It was for me. So I only eat 1 or 2 times a day and cut back on the fuel use to cover the buying of the new flight things.

To me CLoD was worth the price.

Just like CFS3 was.

Now the things I have got for FSX other then the sim itself are not worth the price for the combat planes. But thats just IMO.

I'm still waiting for the TACPACK Prepayed for that and if you ask about that you get bad mouthed for asking. Its a fun plane but. Thats all I'll say about that.

CLoD is becoming the best flight sim todate. Hands down.

The thing that has me liking CLoD even more is the Force Feedback.

The Microsoft Sidewinder Force Feedback 2 Joystick is going to become a hard Joystick to find at a low price after CLoD is around for a few months .

I have used this Joystick in CFS3/ETO and in FSX that are made by MS. And there is now way I would have keep flying with any FF in them.

In there own sim using FF feels like pushing a bent up shopping cart with squire wheels with some one trying to yank it out of your hands.

And that is why MS stopped making them
In CLoD with the MSWFF you can feel every G force and wind effect on the plane.

There is on slop at all. It is real like landing a 2/3# LM Bass.

When you get Cliffs over Dover this video is what you will feel like. You will be addicted to CLoD.:ernae:
