I recently completed some hardware upgrades to my machine, and took the opportunity this evening to take up one of my favorite FSX joyrides, the excellent FSAddon Gloster Gladiator, and really spend some time enjoying the sim again.

I hope you enjoy the shots, and for anyone who may still be 'on the fence' in purchasing this addon, do it!

Beautiful!!! REX? Did you upgrade your GPU?

Phantom, that is correct, I have been very impressed by REX, and it was the first thing I reinstalled again after I got FSX installed again. ;)

And yes, the main component I upgraded was the graphics card (thank you again Ted for your help!). Still lagging with my old processor and memory a bit, but it is great to finally be able to smoothly run with the visuals up, like light bloom, effects quality, and self-shadowing, with little performance hit.

And here is another shot that didn't quite make it through the first time.

John.Beautiful Crisp shots! May I ask what card you upgraded to?

I went with the 'MSI N560GTX-Ti Twin Frozr II', which is just another variant of the GTX560 graphics card. It runs very cool and very quiet with the dual fans and cooling setup. I'm very happy with it!

that Gladiator looks splendid

congrats on the upgrade Bomber - running FSX with bloom and higher settings is like having a new sim.

Splendid! What a great and underused word. So much better than Awesome. Reminds me of 1950's England. :applause:
