May also want to try 1969's "Battle of Britain", some great WWI ariel footage there. And for some 8th AF bomber action nothing beats "The Memphis Belle" made in the 90's. Although they do take some liberties with the Belle's last mission details. If wwI is your thing, "The Blue Max" with George Peppard is top notch as is the recently made "Flyboys".

Battle of Britain is a fantastic movie. The opening sequence with Goering in it is one of my favourite starts to a movie ever (Mostly because of the March ''Aces High''. I play in a brass band and it's a stonker of piece. Funnily enough this was composed by Ron Goodwin for the movie and the modern day Luftwaffe adopted it as one of their regimental marches which nicely brings me to my next favourite war film)

When I'm in a ww1 mood I'm a big fan of 'Aces High'. The Blue max is also good and I thought that The Red Baron was also worth a watch

Edit: Here's the opening sequence. It makes me want to shoot down Heinekels

Edit2: The Bass solo at 3.03 makes me want to play Euphonium
