OT Dealing with propects for a apartment Rental

Well, I shall admit the Rats are coming out of the Woodwork here..
I am busy trying to get some apartments rented here..
And I should have expected what is happening here in Dayton town..

Some are having problems understanding simple English..
others are not pleased at a Application for renting..
And when I state there will be a background check and credit check some look like I just announced the second coming and are shocked, dismayed or just angry..

It has become more difficult the past few years to find descent folks to rent to here.
and this is a Big Bummer..

We have had several Bad tenants the past few years So I have gotten more "Picky"
I do try very hard to be fair and honest..

This is a concept many I have dealt with this week don't seem to understand..
Have had them show up with their "posse" and stoned and drunk..

So far this is very discouraging..
What happened to the common honest Folk??
I guess they left with all the jobs..

Sorry that it's harder to find those elusive decent folk. The one time we were absentee landlords, not our desire, we were extremely fortunate to get good tenants. The owner/landlord next door to us now is finally selling the house in large part because of the parade of lousy tenants he took in over the years. It's like simple good manners and respect just don't matter anymore. Good luck with the renting.
