Heard something on the radio as I was driving about today. Hardly surprising really after being smashed so hard by the tsunami.

I know the MotoGP round at Motegi was cancelled, but I can't find anything about the F1 race?

No press release about this.
It's still on the FIA calendar for 7-9 October.

'Postponed' but in my Sofie's well informed opinion (home in another two weeks!!) neither MotoGP or F1 rounds will take place.
The Japanese people are not inclined to indulge in such events, at this point Sofie believes they are undergoing an intense period of Post Traumatic Shock coupled with a National sense of mourning.

You heard right Tony.
The FIM re-scheduled the MotoGP round within a few days of the reports on how extensive the damage in Japan was, the FIA waited rather longer but eventually announced the October date as 'provisional' for F1.
Madame Wombat has been working as part of a medical team for several weeks and is a very sharp lady, Sofie has a knack of extracting information out of people without being obvious, more to the point, she listens to people.
Maybe I'll start referring to her as 'Mata Hari'.................:running:
