I'm sure it's been tried, just flying and thought it would give the water even more "depth"..ha ha! Any thoughts would be great.

I don't think that CFS 2 will support a shine on water. There are various ocean texture sets in the library here and over at flightsim.com and simviation.com.

I use a different set for each of my theater installs as most of them are optimized for specific oceans both with and without coral in the bays and shores.
