I'm running FSX on P-4 2.7G with Windows XP-Home. Using 1Gb ram, Nvidea 6600 GT-128, Widescreen 22" LCD @ 1680x1050 . It runs well most of the time, but occasionally the "blurries" appear. Sometimes they clear up by themselves and other times I have to use ESCAPE to stop the action and then select "resume flight" to get a clear image again.
Anyone have an explanation/fix for this one ???

I have the same problem. Can you post your info public instead of a PM?

I use several CFG tweaks, but have been backing them off. It seems to me the BUFFEPOOLS function is what really does it to me. But even though I removed it, I still get the blurries or I get a drop to 1 FPS. Hit ESC and resume flight and all is back to normal. With BUFFERPOOLS, I have to do it about every 5 minutes. WIth out bufferpools, maybe 3 times in 4 hours.

I added

[JOBSCHEDULER]
AffinityMask=3

as I have a dual core. and these 2 mods

[Main]
DisablePreload=1 // added this
FIBER_FRAME_TIME_FRACTION=0.20

and this

TEXTURE_BANDWIDTH_MULT=30

I have a Dual Core DUO 2. 2.31 Ghrtz. 4 gig of PC4200 ram on Win XP Media Center with Nvidia 7600GT and 256 meg.

I also use Active Sky X/X Graphics, Ultimate Terrain X, FS Genesis mesh and landcalass and CLoud 9 landclasses and FPS locked at 20.

Richard,

"Public" is posting in public on a forum such as this one. "PM" is an abbreviation for private message, in other words a private contact as seen in the upper right of your forum screen where you see "Private Messages" in blue.

Hope this helps,

Kevin
