This is a freeware FS9 ME Taifun,available at flightsim.com.
http://www.flightsim.com/kdl.php?fid=78311

I just installed it in FSX ACC.
The exterior model is fine,2d panel too but the VC not.
Is there a possibility to correct this?
Thanks
Michael

Obviously there is an issue with the alphas. I think the panel might become visible when you remove the alpha from that particular texture.

Hope this helps,
Huub

Hmmm - just took a look into the texture files of Guenter Kraemer's awesome Taifun:
Dashboard's textures (contained in Bf_2.bmp) are in DXT3 with no alpha channel!
Must be some other reason for this transparency...

Cheers,
Markus.

This should solve the vc issue...note the new background colour!

[Vcockpit01]
//Background_color=0,0,0
Background_color=57,57,57
size_mm=1024,413
visible=0
pixel_size=1024,1024
texture=$vcpanel

That is until the definative FsX model is released by Mathias:engel016:

I have several repaints for that, had them at SOH in the old days. Currently my tower is down, but I could arrange to repackage them paints if anyone wishes, as they are all saved to an external HD. Hopefully I shall have my unit back next week sometime, HD has a bad sector or either I ahve memory stick problems. Froze Sunday evening and just kept recycling.

As I recall, we worked serveral aircraft.cfg fixes for it too. Gunter sure put out a ringer with that one, a wonderful FS9 model. I don't even try to porty FS9 aircraft to FSX, I love them in FS0 and I have enough in FSX already that are native.

This is one of those planes I go back to from time to time just because it is a neat model of an aesthetically pleasing design

Thanks Gilles but I can't take credit for the FS9 version.

How soon is that before release for FSX Mathias? Can't wait to throw some paint on that one too. Beautiful looking work as usual.

Thanks, Caz!

Looks as if it's ready towards the end of this month.As someone who's been watching this developement for a year now, I notice, when you say "towards the end of this month", you no longer specify the month nor, heaven forbid, the year. The money I set aside to purchase the Taifun has lost much of its value since your first announcement .

Hehehe, cheers oldendirt.
You know, I was about to write "towards the end of the month" but figured people will ask which month in which year.:bump:
