As a hobby I have been working on elevated terrain mesh using GTPO30 dems in ASD. Started in Northern Italy and have worked my way down into Central Italy, Elba, Corrsica and Northern Sardina. My problem is where W20N90 ends and matches up with W20N40 I have a 1 tile gap ( no elevations) going east to west straight thru Sardinia and Southern Italy. ASD will not lay a texture( even in the water) in this line. I have attempted to merge the 2 files in Microdem But... I can not get microdem to produce a header file ( .HDR) that ASD will work with. I can continue on anything under this strip, but who wants a gap in their scenery.

Not many fly CFS1 anymore and I haven't tried it in CFS2 but it's my hobby and I have 100's of hours into it and really don't want to give up now because of this Gap. Will gladly pay $50.00 US to anyone that can fix this problem for me.

Thanks,

Dave www.thefreeflightsite.com (http://www.thefreeflightsite.com)

$50.00? Dang, that'll buy me food for a month!

I don't know the program that you're using (ASD), think I've looked at MicroDem a long time ago? Do you have links to the source material? Is it at USGS Seamless or where?

Then have to figure the format that you use, with the HDR file.

Challenges are fun, most of the time. So point me in the right direction and I can see if there's anything I can come up with.

Thanks for considering it Meshman, The link for the GToPo30 dem files is above, they are rather large files. W20N90 covers most of Europe, W20N40 covers Southern tip Sardinia, Italy and N Africa.

Microdem may not be what we need but it was suggested to me thru these forums.
ASD ( Airport and Scenery Designer ) by abacus publishing www.abacuspub.com (http://www.abacuspub.com) is an ageold program for creating scenery and mesh terrains in MSFS. It will work with both the seemless dems and the GTOPO 30 dems, but they don't offer the seamless for the area I am working in.

Screen shots of the scenery can be found here http://www.thefreeflightsite.com/Scenery.htm

Take a look and if you think you may be able to help please just let me know.
