This is driving my crazy! :redfire:

It started when installing UTX Europe which I have since removed with no cure to a most annoying problem.

I've looked around on the net, but nothing I have tried works.

Please help

Hi Ben

That is wierd. I haven't seen that problem before. I assume that your graphics drivers are OK?

Cheers

I donīt know if it has something to do, but there is reports about problems related to the menu that is fixed with the use of the uiautomationcore.dll

Maybe itīs worth a try?

Seriously, I've read this befoer and did some searching for ya...:

"....... Ok Update, all OK at last, was the ATI Catalyst Control Centre, didn't think about that until I just read C130's post on another topic, where another poster is having similar problems with artifacts.

Everything was at max, so I one by one lowered the settings, and low and behold text is now OK, BUT (yes always one of those), FSX now seems to take 10 times longer to load, but fps seems OK....".

Maybe an idea?

Hello Ben,

Take a break from staring at your screen and try crossing your eyes till they meet in the middle.

After three hours, you should realise that was totally useless and go roll back your drivers. The only time I've had blurry text happen is when installing / updating graphics drivers. As Francois says, perhaps lowering your ATI settings [assuming you've tinkered with them recently] may help.

Good luck Ben!

Benn, I am almost sure that this is a driver issue. I had similar things on my ATI card. The newest ones, Catalyst 11.2 work OK and I am experiencing no problems which you shown. My card: ATI 5850.

Yip you right. I just reset to default and it seems to have solved the problem for now.

I feel much happier now. I was going to format and re-install. phew! :gameon:

Could be settings on your ATI panel. I did some playing around on mine which gave similar effects. Have you tried setting back to default to see if it works ?
