Hi folks,

I'm trying to purchase satellite / aerial imagery for an airfield in the South of France. Could anyone point me to a good supplier?

Thanks :salute:

IGN is the only real reliable (and official) source for that. http://www.ign.fr/

I see a lot of physical maps, etc for sale, but I thought that he was looking for Satellite imagery to use as ground texturing for a scenery he is building and I don't see anything on that site that indicates that they supply that sort of thing. . . .is that correct Dave?:salute:

You got it falcon409. My buddy and I would like to release the scenery we've made [currently with a ground texture courtesy of SBuilderX] and all that's needed are ground textures we can share...

They deliver almost ALL of their material in digital form as well. You can even have your own paper maps printed by them :-)

Ah, they changed their site. Here's a better starting point: http://professionnels.ign.fr/11/range/the-whole-range.htm

Haven't been there for awhile. I bought some aerial photos a few years back.

Yep, that's the problem with non-english sites (even if they are translated via Google). If it doesn't say (in plain english) "Satellite imagery" for private use in a format I recognize, then they've lost a sale right off the bat. If I have to search out what I'm looking for on some obscure page that takes 2 or 3 links to finally find. . .forget it, lol.:salute:
