Hi folks, I apologise for being a complete newbie here and hope that I am asking this question in the right place. I know the SOH A-26 project is for FS9 but couldn't help trying it in FSX, and besides having propeller and nose texture issues, the aircraft is absolutely wonderful in cockpit detail and flight performance. I lack the technical expertise to modify such a project for FSX, but is anyone considering upgrading that aircraft to FSX? I've spent dozens of hours trying out aircraft that turn out to be total junk for FSX, but that plane has potential! But I don't know how much work that would involve. Just a thought from a newbie. :salute:

This will give you what you want:
A26B and A26C Model Updates for FSX

These updates simply remove the decal from the nose sections to eliminate the transparency issues in FSX. These updates do not address props or other FSX SP2 issues. These four models are updates to the originally released models in the library.

Thank you! It works! Just curious, what are the rules regarding reposting this aircraft to make it easier for anyone to use as all files would be in place already? Thanks again!

I'd still like to see a full FSX-SP2-Accel native version of Milton's A-26. I flew it quite a bit in FS9 and even in FSX. It flies so nicely, easy to control, just one heck of a nice aircraft for joy riding.

The gmax source for the B and C models that I produced is available for anyone who wishes to convert it to native FSX as freeware.

Sadly, I don't know how to do that. Not a clue. I thought gmax meant the maximum sustainable g-force. That's how little I know about making things for flight sims. :173go1:

With the decals, props and guns files, it has become one of the most flyable and photogenic portovers from FS9 to FSX. Love that black 'Spirit of Waco'.

Hey Mr. Shupe, I love your planes! Great work! I saw the in progress pics of that XP-47J and as you said it was mostly for FS9 with general compatability with FSX, I was wondering what you meant by that? It looks incredible and having flown your other planes, I bet it will fly awesome too. I know I sound like a kid on christmas, but any rough idea of when you will be done with it? I didn't even know that the plane really existed untill I visited your site. Amazing plane. Wonder what happened to the prototype. Anyhow, the flightsim community appriciates your hard work, I'm one of them. Thank you. :salute:
