Something else in the works, an Albion AM463 tanker. Have always wanted one of these in the sim and finally have got off my derrier and made one!
The stock tanker is a Matador and suitable only for about '43 onwards I believe.

(I'm not happy with the tyres)

A couple of photos I've seen have this odd marker on top, I presume it would habe been white of yellow and would have been a visibility aid. Any ideas anyone?

Looks about the right size for a overnight stay on the road..:applause:

I'd say the airflow would make it spin whenever the vehicle is moving, thereby enhancing the tanker's visibility... Makes you wonder why they didn't use a normal flashing light?

As I said over in the Bridges thread, this is the sort of thing that adds a lot to the sim.

Neat stuff.

I asked over at the AiX forum, it is indeed a warning/marker sign. Hadn't thought that it might spin though Joost. I think if it did then it would probably have been an 'S' shaped affair like the old garage forecourt Esso signs.

Another step nearer. The spare wheel was mounted on the offside cab door rendering it unusable - it wasn't a popular mod!

Just noticed the edges showing on the orange sign. bugger!

''...Get that vulture out of here... we'll go with what we've got!''

If the tires weren't blue, they'd be just fine... otherwise, that
is just the niftiest truck to ever roll out on to an airstrip!:ernae:

Clive, you're truly the MASTER of the 'accessory'!:salute:

A small update...with all the great work being posted here the last few days I'm feeling left out and thought I'd better get orf my *rse and do a bit too. :icon_lol:

It's now drivable, has better fuelling arms which are animated along with the rear and cab doors. There's too much air in the tyres though looking at the way its floating above the grass!

This is a really neat addition to the sim, Clive. It's the sort of thing that goes to making the simulated world just that much better!

Thank you for your work.
