There is a very high likelihood that I will be building a new system soon...a system with more than enough guts to run FSX. While 98% of my flying time will still be done in FS9 (have far too many planes and tweaks and such to leave that sim behind), there are some planes in FSX that I just have to fly. One of them being Wozza's FSX Texan. Has it been finished, uploaded? I looked in the Warbird Library but did not see it.

I have been flying Wozza's Texans since CFS2 and love them. Wonderful detail, great performance. His FS9 Texan/Harvard is a work of art. Really want to see what the new FSX version looks like.

FSX T-6G Texan "Civilian Restoration". As a trainer the North American T-6 Texan could punish as quickly as it rewarded yet once a pilot qualified in a Texan, they could qualify in any aircraft. Built with FSDS 3.5 and fsdstweak, using the FSX Acceleration SDK 3D model by Warwick Carter and David Eckert (http://www.flightsim.com/main/spotlite/daviator.htm). Pilot 3D model by Michael Flahault. Textures by David Eckert (http://www.flightsim.com/main/spotlite/daviator.htm), Michael Flahault and Warwick Carter.

FSX T-6G Texan "Civilian Restoration" update to v1.1, for FSDS_T-6.ZIP (http://www.flightsim.com/file.php?cm=SEARCH1&fsec=0&fname=FSDS_T-6.ZIP). Fixed the cowl mapping which now has its own texture. Also fixes the issue which caused the crash that some users are having and removes the vis code for the ADF and comm radios so they will now power up when avionics are switched on. This is a little texture modification for the two default liveries of the Texan T-6G by Warwick Carter, David Eckert (http://www.flightsim.com/main/spotlite/daviator.htm) and Michael Flahault (FSDS_T-6.ZIP (http://www.flightsim.com/file.php?cm=SEARCH1&fsec=0&fname=FSDS_T-6.ZIP)). Originally, the textures of the two liveries are not very detailed so they were merged with the much more detailed textures of the paint kit. By Tim Scharnhop.

Anyone ever do a Blue Angels/Beetle Bomb repaint for this awesome plane?

Hi
Or search on avsim for "fsds_t6_ver1.1.zip" its the entire package in 1 file
I got an email the other day from someone wanting permission to release a paint kit so hopefully the lack of paints might improve a bit :)

Would love to see a few repaints for this aircraft! IMHO it's the best Texan out there, I prefer it over the AS package myself. Much more to do in the cockpit.

I've downloaded and installed it, but the engine won't start - just turns over. Has anyone else had this trouble? I've tried with ctrl/E, had the throttle part open, but still no success.

Wozza's T6 is difficult to start. It's just about as complicated as a real T6. Follow the instructions that came with the T6 download perfectly and you will get it to start, but you must be thoroughly familiar with all of the controls in the cockpit and follow the instructions perfectly.

Yep, following start-up protocol is a must. It ain't hard, but you do have to do things in the correct order. Worthwhile. :)

Definitely one of the top ten freeware out there...forgot to mention it in another thread! Love that Texan Wozza! The real neat part OBIO is it is easy on frame rates and yet very detailed.

Hi
Thanks glad its being used, actually its the releases 1st birthday this mth :)
Btw its not really my Texan it was a group effort ;)
Anyway
If you just wanna go for a quick flight, just switch on the mags and select a usable fuel tank with the fuel selector (these are two must do's ).... then ctrl +E will start the engine...handy for air starts :D ......If you want to be taken for a ride,in VC mode hit the "A" key then drop the view down to the bottom of the panel, click the small round blank alongside the engine temp gauge...then it wont be quite so lonely :D
Cheers

This paintkit has been released because I saw it somewhere, but I haven't got a clue where I saw it and I haven't downloaded it yet!

Help here would be appreciated....

Have to turn on fuel valve and mags in the VC first. Then you can hit control + E. Or you can do it all manually. It's all in the read me file.
