I was checking out Wal-Mart the other day and got IL-2 for ten bucks could'nt pass that up! I usually do things backwards, I already have PF. My question, is IL2 FB AEP 2 games or one? I've seen patches for IL2 etc. do you have to install them in sequence from begining? Thanks for any help. Dlg26 :)

IL2 was the first release (stand alone) of this game. The game was "overhauled" later and enhanced, thus released as IL2-FB - kind of a sequel (again stand alone). Plus: FB can be combined with AEP (Adon) and PF (Adon or Stand alone). Il2 is the root of this game-system, allready featuring the game engine used in all other parts. There are patches for Il2 only, to bring it to a decent standart. Later on the developments went that far Maddox decided to release the next step (FB) as a single new game.
If you have PF, FB should be the next step backwards and AEP to make it whole. A great combination of pacific, european and russian theatre you get when combining the three. Il2 sort of leaped out of this combination and can only be used single, only featuring other missions and campaigns as FB and "older" look and feel.

Yeah Mississippi 10 bucks!, thanks guru I guess I can patch IL2 alone to all its patchs and it is still just one game. To combine in sequence up to PF I'll have to get FB AEP and I know that installs with PF. Thanks again :)
