Good evening all. I know it has been quite a long time, but fear not as we have been busy behind the scene working on the models. The T-38's and Stuka have finished with exterior texturing, and we hope everyone is pleased with the results. As Colin put in another thread earlier on we decided to re-induct the Stuka for re-texturing and UVing as we used older methods originally. Other than that stuff is also continuing behind the scenes with the F-15 Eagles. I imagine that is enough talk for now. Obviously later on in coding once we hammer out all the technical goodies we will update everyone on that front. We will start off with the T-38's.

Steve,

As always, fantastic models from MILVIZ, and with the later TAC Pack updates and CS weaposn mods, looking much more forward to military releases or making a mercenary HU16 like in the movie Expendables. Life is so good right now.....

They look fantastic, curious to see what they will look like in the sim. Thanks for the update Steve!

We are working on our own weapons for the F-15 that actually do interact with aircraft, and the ground for the F-15 Eagles.. Obviously the T-38 doesn't have weapons. Not so sure at this point what we may/may not do for the Stuka. Rest assured the F-15 will have weapons though so you will not have to spend any extra money on your part to add weapons to it. Although I do myself plan on getting the Tac Pack for my own VRS Superbug as I cannot add weapons to that with our own system, lol.

Are these MilViz releases or other companies?

The Stuka will be a joint exercise with Classic Hangars (go with the best!) and the T-38, like the Eagles, will be ours alone.

Both the Eagles and the T-38, like the 310, will be fully detailed in terms of avionics and will fly "as close as real" as we can get it.

In terms of weapons, well,... Loose lips just sank that ship!!!!! That will be a subject for another day....

For the T-38A, here's a pic in sim of the front pit. Note that all extraneous stuff is on holiday.... (hidden for the purposes of testing) (thanks Bill)

Shots of the Eagle E in sim will be posted very soon... (just wait till you see this bird!)

Loose lips? We have had videos on the Milviz Inc Youtube page showing the weapons for about 2 months. Figure by now it is common knowledge. :kilroy: http://www.youtube.com/user/milvizinc Just don't want to see people buy products they otherwise may not have bought for the birds when we are already doing it. Think everyone is watching their bottom line these days.

True... but no one knew what they were watching!

mmm, looking forward to that stuka...please tell me there will be a paintkit?

We always do paintkits. always. It will likely be released before the product is... though that will have to be discussed with Mathias...

Impressive work gentlemen, I've been waiting for a good Stuka. Personally I think that the Stuka and the T-38 have been under represented in FS, so It's nice to see some great looking models in the works! One question though, will the Stuka have it's dive siren?

delta_lima
February 9th, 2011, 09:27
Outstanding. Will definitely sign up for a T-38. No doubt about it.

Looking forward to it.

thanks,

DAMN! I clean forgot the siren!!!! Of course it will! We're doing two versions of the Stuka: the D (bombs and siren) and the G2 (BIG A$$ guns and no siren or bombs!).

Ahhhhh.... you answered my question for me. VERY interested in a T-38C (I am an avionics tech by trade so I do love a glass cockpit). I suppose you've already been asked a million times when they will be released...?

YoYo

T-38 I think is closer to release than Junkers. So Siren will be work ?

the siren will work but, while you are in the VC it will just sound like being on a fire engine. it is, after all, the same sound.

Can't say which one will be first, second or third.... just that they will all be top notch quality like the 310....

Hoping for you you'll sell more of the Stuka than we did of the Lysander...... ;-)

Especially looking forward to the Stuka! Quite some time ago I did flight modeling for a SBD and also a Corsair that had some dive bombing capability with the gear extended. Those test dives, especially against a ship underway in FSX, about as much fun as you can have in a sim!

Awesome! I can't believe how much those T-38s look like plastic model kits in the renders.

Can we expect anything close to this? (AI F-15E from DCS A-10C beta)

How do I respond to this? If I say no, then what? If I say yes?

The pic you have shown is very pretty but there are quite a few things "off" with it. If you wish to know what they are, please feel free to PM me and I will explain. I am curious, did you take that shot yourself? Or was it off of their website?

Did you see the youtube videos? That shows the VC and some of the systems... Do note however, that those videos are really old and are therefore, seriously out of date.

http://www.youtube.com/user/milvizinc?feature=mhum

Ours will be what it is. Wait and see. There is one thing: I would HIGHLY recommend that you all wait before spending any more money on weapons packages.... (nuff said on THAT one)

Thanks,

Defo not another YF23 but that was FSD remember mate! Would like to see some shots of her though Kolin mate!

The renders were somthing else but I'm quilty more than most of begging for better frames, so I won't complain either way!

krazycolin
February 11th, 2011, 22:43
The YF-23 was, and remains, a fine product. True, it had no weapons. Again, true, it used the F/A-18 HUD. Oh yeah, and, true, it was clean. (just as the real one was).... I have never understood exactly what the issue was with the YF-23. It was inexpensive and quite nicely done in that most things on it worked as in the real world version. In the real thing, 80% of the systems were inop. Plus you could eject from it. Maybe it was the anti-piracy thing?

The stuff in DCS is very nice.

I have asked Nick C to do some pics for the planes (not the Stuka) as soon as we hit beta. Which, with any luck, will be tmrw.

You will be updated as and when they show up.

You can have the whole salt shaker... that's not really going to change anything about what's in and what's not.

. I have never understood exactly what the issue was with the YF-23.

Same here. In real life, it was an inert prototype. You'd think the realist demanding simmers would have been OK with that.

As it turns out, there is NO SIREN on the Stuka D or the G. Oh well...

Sorry about that. I was misinformed.

We MAY put it on anyway... even if it's not correct... what say you all?

bstolle
February 14th, 2011, 09:11
depends on the D. The early D definitely did have a siren

Kowalski65
February 14th, 2011, 09:50
You HAVE to have a siren-it's the one thing everyone thinks of when you say "Stuka"!

Even if it's an option for one or both models

krazycolin
February 14th, 2011, 10:52
All the info and pics I have show that the D didn't have the siren. It had a bulbous cover that they put on top of the siren. It was thought that the siren gave the planes position away too early and made it (more) of a target.

If you have any pics of a D with a siren... I would be GLAD to see one...

krazycolin
February 14th, 2011, 11:25
I have been informed by my colleague, Mathias, that the D-1's did indeed have the siren. So it will have it!

yay!

That's the one with the short wing!
BTW, main reason for deleting it was because it did cost between 10-15kts cruise speed.
