Hiho,

seems like Aerosoft picked up their work on the Bronco again. Some nice progress shots at the forum:

while I love the freeware version alot from Piglet,........I really look forward to this plane. I'm hoping for more weapons variations, and fuel tanks, and hopefully the D model to go with it.

Piglet did an OV-10? Looks interesting. And it's a twin with twin tail booms. My kinda plane. Off I go hunting for it. Must see what it is :running:

I checked the OV-10a Bronco thread at Aerosoft and found some great news I want to share here.
The aircraft is coming along great and I'm amazed by the level of knowledge and detail that flows into the simulation of the turboprop engine management (which seems to be a problem because of deficiencies in that area in FSX) for example.
Friends of the Bronco might want to find this read interesting:

RW-66,

This beauty look's like the USMC OV-10's we had at Danang in '70-'71. Call sign: "Hostage". "Hostage Fire Plug" was one I remember working from Danang Tower. Also, had USAF OV-10's/ O-2's from 20th TASS, call sign "Covey". Bring's back a lot of memories. As in Runway 17L closed with Covey O-2 setting on the foam covered R/W with his nose wheel locked and cocked 90 degress from aircraft centerline. At the same time had a 366th Tac Fighter Wing F-4 touching down on Runway 35L with hyd failure and BLC (Boundary Layer Control) malfuntion and engaging the midfield BAK 9 arestting cable. Whew! both Runway's closed because of disabled aircraft and many other inbound aircraft holding "feet wet". Long story short. Fire Rescue cleared both Runway's just in time so all inbound's did NOT run out of fuel, it was mighty close. Best part.....no one was killed or injured!

Well, just another day in the annals of Danang Tower. We all went to the club that evening and drank our supper.....Tomorrow would be another day........
