Stupid and easy question: how to i take a stock cessna and add crop dusting effect that kicks in when i press the "I" key?

Also, any Spanish speakers here willing to translate the Ecuador crop dusting mission instructions for me? You will find it here: http://www.flightsim.com/kdl.php?fid=132407

Thanks guys,

First of all, find an aircraft with a crop dusting effect. The Aerosoft beaver is one such example but you may be able to find freeware aircraft with crop dusting effects.

Once you have installed such an aircraft you will have a crop dusting effect fiile in your FSX/effects folder.

Next thing is to attach it to the aircraft smoke system by editing the aircraft.cfg file for the necessary aircraft.

Here is an example of the aircraft.cfg entries from the Aerosoft Beaver

[smokesystem]
smoke.0 = -1.29, 23.77, -1.5, Aerosoft_Cropduster
smoke.1 = -1.66, 19.7, -1.5, Aerosoft_Cropduster
smoke.2 = -1.79, 15.66, -1.5, Aerosoft_Cropduster
smoke.3 = -1.86, 11.49, -1.5, Aerosoft_Cropduster
smoke.4 = -2.37, 7.38, -1.5, Aerosoft_Cropduster
smoke.5 = -2.56, 2.63, -1.5, Aerosoft_Cropduster
smoke.6 = -2.63, -2.56, -1.5, Aerosoft_Cropduster
smoke.7 = -2.43, -7.38, -1.5, Aerosoft_Cropduster
smoke.8 = -1.92, -11.49, -1.5, Aerosoft_Cropduster
smoke.9 = -1.66, -15.59, -1.5, Aerosoft_Cropduster
smoke.10 = -1.6, -19.64, -1.5, Aerosoft_Cropduster
smoke.11 = -1.15,-23.75, -1.5, Aerosoft_Cropduster

Notice how there are 12 instances of the Aerosoft_Cropduster effect and that they are lined up along the wing.

The 3 numbers give the location of the origin of the smoke effect.
The first is the fore/aft, second is left or right and the last is up and down. You will need to do a bit of trial and error to find the right locations for your particular aircraft.
