I found out that in FSX you can make your float plane drift if you go in to your control plane and turn up the wind.
Can we make float planes drift in a mission if the wind is strong? 0-1 Driver this is more for you or anyone really that may know.

The pictures show almost how FSX looks on my PC.

Look at the ship around the masks you can see that there are Seagulls flying around the ship.

The video and pictues where made at AGFB----in the PTO--- island of Guadalcanal in the Solomon Islands.

Great videos Mike, thanks for sharing those. You are tempting me to stray from the path!
Luckily my pc won't run it (I don't think) but one day....

The airfields are great. The lighting and close-up perspective is much better in fs9/fsx which really shows the models well.

Mond you having said that, cfs3 isn't that bad...

Pat, The airbases do not even come close to what you have done in ETO!

FSX is still a ways off from being able to do what ETO can do.I'm just gettin ready for when it can.

What I like about FSX the most is that you really have hands on in flying the plane. The animated simobjects that can be added like the seagulls flying where ever you what to put them plus other types of fowl and animals like wales and and people that walk around so on. I like the water and the fact you can fly anywere from anywere.
I know that if the day comes that the Groundhogs can make this a very good combat sim for sure.
I would think that if thy can get wales to swim around that planes could have weapons that work and show damage. To have to go from dark and cold in starting planes with the switches just like the real planes with your mouse. And stay on top of all that keeping a power pack runing and still fight off other planes is quit amazing.

I think with the advent of the TacPack this is going to be an reality very soon.

And yes Pat I do hope this is tempting you to start looking into this to see what it will take to put together some airbases for FSX.

You don't have to have a super PC to run FSX like some people would like for you to think.

It's just not true.

You can control the effects up and down just like in CFS3 and the expansions

For me The CFS3 X's are still the best combat sim bar none for now but when the TacPack comes out it will not be for long.

And we have to roll with the changes. Its going to happen and I'm trying to get ready.

I have been showen and download a WWII Carrier for FSX called the Victorious Early War that I'm going to try. And its freeware.

I'm not trying to get anyone to stop what thy are doing in CFS3. I will fly CFS3 from now on.

Pat, Be sure and get Flight Simulator X Acceleration. The Gold Pack is the best. The cost has come down a lot. Its cheaper then when I bought the Gold pack.

Take a look at this thread about the WWII Airbases in the UK. Ian P lives in the UK and works on WWII Airbases for FSX.

If you two could talk I would think Ian P and you could make the bases look as good in FSX as thy do in ETO.
