First Leslie Nielsen, now Anne Francis. Who's next ... Robby the Robot?

Anne Francis dies at 80; costarred in the 1950s science-fiction classic 'Forbidden Planet'

A shapely blond with a beauty mark next to her lower lip, the New York native also played the title role in 'Honey West,' the mid-1960s TV series about a sexy female private detective with a pet ocelot

So sad to lose her. I used to watch her "Honey West" private eye tv show. She was a real babe!

Wow, first Leslie Nielson, now her. Any one left from Forbidden Planet?

Yes, there are a few. Earl Holliman and James Drury come to mind.

I loved Forbidden Planet. A lot of people don't know it was loosely based on Shakespeare's The Tempest. I always suspected Gene Roddenberry borrowed liberally from FB when he was conceiving Star Trek, especially in the relationship between the captain and the doctor.

I was too young for Honey West, but I remember Anne Francis from a number of other roles, including a turn on Black Sheep Squadron, which I'm sure virtually every member of SOH also watched at one time or another.
