Another aircraft on my list for the RTW. I already have this one installed, however, the FDE seems to be pretty squirelly(sp?). Once the brakes are off, it will slowly accelerate to almost take off speed without constant braking. The braking, if I don't keep on it, will result in a ground loop because it seems to be overly nose-heavy (and why not, it has a huge prop and a spinner the size of a blimp, lol). If anyone remembers an update to the FDE, let me know. If I try to use it as-is right now, I'd have to setup on the rwy by slewing, otherwise I'd register a crash on the Duenna before I ever got off the ground, lol.:salute:

Has to be those boys over at The Pond again, a lot of work has been done on the Sea Fury to get it to as near perfect as possible.

You will need the Sea Fury Upgrade package v2.3

I looked at using the Sea Fury either last year or the year before Ed but I think I gave up on it in the end due to range issues.

I haven't checked it yet. . .the FB-11 is the one I'm testing right now. . . .the specs call for right at 700 with internal fuel only and a bit over 1000nm (1040) with tanks (which this model has). Best speed is 460mph (399kts) at 18K and a cruise speed of 390mph (366kts). I just need to do a bit of testing to see if these numbers are really what I'll get.:salute:

Range figures are normally specified for 'cruise' and you have to remember in the RTWR we run full throttle all the way which sucks a lot more juice. ;-)

Yep, a bit short on range when at full throttle. The F7F is just as fast and has a bit better range.

Which Sea Fury?

That would be the Hawker Sea Fury FB11 by Dave Hanvey and Paul Barry. The latest upgrade for the plane can be had from Classic British Files, the link was posted by AndyG43 at the top of this thread. Nazca Stevw did some excellent repaints for this plane as well.

Thanks Blackbird, that was a favourite with FS8, I'll look up its latest incarnation at the Pond. :jump:
