That was, like most of 'em, a great episode.

One of the best, along with John Hoyt as the three-armed alien and the counter man with the third eye.

You had me confused.........

"To Serve Man" Twilight Zone.......Saucer

The Invaders ....Saucer

Not to poo on this thread............

But I never got into flying saucers because alot of my friends and neighbors all had Atomic Age
Furniture.........

They all would comment everytime a Flying Saucer came on the TV.........

......"Hey look there goes my lamp"

Please do not be confused..."THERE ARE NO FLYING SAUCERS".your guess is as good as mine..maybe in our kitchen, however, there may be, when the wife gets ticked off at me for spending to much time Simulating, Saucers fly!!when if fact real stuff is required....There was a Marathon of sorts on the tube...brought memories of great episodes...tho Shatter, and those Engine ripping up Gremlins are my favorite..CHEERS on the Second day of 2011

I never could figure out...

If for the Invaders .....

if they built a full size mock up ..........probably near palm springs ...out in the desert

or.......

they just built legs........

either way.........The Legs look like planchettes (Ouija Board indicator)

We used to tease all the neighbors kids about staying away from the Ouija Boards.....

or see.......you conjur up aliens..........

Who Knows what "HALLAVOOD"does...in the age before computers there were great props made..the stuff in 2001 Space Odyssey ,comes to mind as does the early Star Trek...stuff worth a fortune now. That INVADER ,I bought my kid the Aurora Plastic model in 1967, he still has it....those eary movies and shows sparked this whole UFO thing....if you Remember the movie the "THING" in 1951?.laughable today..but terror filled then,
Along with ATOMIC Stuff which was new then...imaginations went BERSERK!...in the Movies ,The TV,and out in the dessert where the Sun beats on some heads to make them see stuff...which became LOTS OF LOONY CASH... Hey What Ever Turns People On Is OK with Me!!.However its all Fun......Cheers on this second day of 2011http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/images/icons/icon22.gif

If you'd like to instal the Hollywood TV series set of the "Lost in Space" crash site for FS 9, look for it at the larger sim sites. It's a great little add on with lots of options. It is located, as was the original set, near the Torna Pinacles out near the Mohave Desert.

Search for: j2crashsitefs9.zip

Or look here:

I like to jump into the set from time to time for lunch with June Lockhart.

Lost in Space

I had a thing for June Lockhart myself...........

The Early Black and White episodes were the best............

The Chariot.....and Yes...the Robot......and there was alot more gadgets inside and out

Interesting .......they made June wear a turtle neck for the rest of the series after the..

"The Hungry Sea/The Oasis" Episodes..........

They put alot of effort into that first season.....

Alpha Control.......later became the Time Tunnel set

However, to take it back to "The Invaders"............

Suzanne Pleshette was on the episode I took the desert shot from............

I had a thing for her too.....

And.....

To take it back to "To Serve Man"......

Naked Gun 2 1/2 did a spoof..........I found a clip while looking for shots of the ship

Beautiful women......and space ships...........

"WARNING ,WARNING,Danger Will Robinson".......The Real Star was that Robot!!
In Reality it was Bob May in the thing...If you did not know the Robots name ..

It did not have a name, except in insults from Dr Smith, e.g., 'You bubble-headed booby' etc. ect.

Bob May, who donned The Robot’s suit in the hit 1960s television "LOST IN SPACE"” has died. He was 69.
But the ROBOT lives on forever,Clone by Clone...as this site shows...

Who is in my beatiful women hall of fame..........

Who was in "The Invaders".....

Who probably was in "The Twilight Zone"....

Who co-starred with Leslie Neilson "Naked Gun" in the Classic .."Forbidden Planet"

I just watched Forbiden Planet over the Holidays. What a great show and what a great part for Anne Francis.

I also liked Anne Francis in her stint as PI Honey West back in the early 60s. Of course I was also equally infatuated with her AC Cobra sports car in that show.

She just passed away from cancer.
