Good afternoon,

I just want to let you know my desktop is back up and running, with a little help from some friends. I'm a bit limited at the moment, but am on the hunt for a 512MB/1GB AGP video card to allow me to run CFS2 / FS9 in their full glory.

I did manage to be quite productive on my laptop, and have 79 of 100 Tuskegee missions finished. In fact, I find it easier to work in MB with my laptop than my desktop, it is quite literally two to three times faster than my desktop is.

If anyone can make some good recommendations here for AGP cards, let me know. Mariereid tried to help, but it was a PCI-E card, so that didn't work out.

Right now, I have my "emergency" card...an NVIDIA FX 5200 128MB AGP

Rami, did you manage to determine if that card you bought was defective?

I am reduced to borrowed lappy today, I have just fitted a new PSU to my desktop, I will be able to fit my new graphic card soon but first I must fix a broken linux install first. So that it can build drivers for the new hardware. I can't bare to sit and watch it, it is better to leave it alone.

Hi Rami.

I'm curious. Why was your productivity so much better on a laptop?

Dick,

My laptop is a T6400 Dual-core with 4GB of RAM. MB flies in that sucker!
