Hi all,
just got CFS3 and TIR 4 and eagerly waiting for P3:
Some questions:
1. What does dynamic wind mean new in P3?
2. Is there "non"-dynamic-wind in CFS3 somewhere else?
3. In PF3: Are wind gusts modelled, winds in different heights?
Is P3 delivered to Europe (Germany) too and at what costs?even
Did you do some performance tweaking? I started with MAW and all set to max I get a slide show sometimes even with a geforce 9600 GT... and OFF seems to be even more detailed.

We will experience Cross Winds on landing, in Phase 3

Do yourself a big favor. NEVER exceed 4 on Scenary and Terrian Sliders. There ain't a computer built today, that can handle 5 for long.

It will look Fantastic, at first. After a few hours you'll start getting unexplainable video errors. Which can be cured very easily, back off to 4 :d :ernae:

PS . . That Jumble of numbers that is ( Z ) contains a wealth of information

And I dont think that P3 will not be available to buy from Europe.

I beleive it was "Gandi" who has done allot of work with clouds and weather. I am looking at putting together a mission that will include take off from an aircraft carrier, that comes with a 10 knot wind, to help with T/O.

1) Dynamic wind - wind strength changes as you fly - direction alters slightly as you fly- same as dynamic weather - changes as you fly. So although gusts are not modelled in P3 the change in wind speed and slight alteration in wind direction as you fly make it feel like the wind indeed does gust. Windsock on field will indicate wind direction and craft take-off direction at field is automatically optimised for wind direction - hence I call it Dynamic Wind.

2) See above

3) No but see above

4) P3 will be delivered world wide - we are negotiating this aspect at the moment

5) OFF is fully scaleable for a range of PCs - but the better your hardware the more stunned you will be by the graphics.

Scenery I can confirm but is Terrain=5 really unattainable?

Or so I'm told, by the Devlopers. Myself I'm always looking for an edge, but alas, the current monitary situation holds me to 5/3/3/5/1 :ernae:

I'd recommend terrain 4, scenery 4 even with P3 and a top system. I can run on 5,5 but definitely works better on 4 (and looks amazing).

I run an 'old' Athlon64, actually giving 2244mhz, 3.00 GB RAM, GeForce7300GT 512MB onboard.

What can I expect to get graphics wise? Will I have to back right back on the sliders. I do get the odd sky rendering glitch, white angular patches at the edge of screen sometimes.

New card means new system as I'm still AGP:redf:

Sabrerattler gonna be hard for us to validate every system out there... does P2 run well on it ? Looking good? If so you should be able to run P3, but 18months of dev later it isn't going to look its best.

Cross winds when landing, outstanding. At least I have experience with a Grumman Stearman in such conditions!
