OT: Trilon colors

I learned to fly in 1948 at KBZN in Montana. This was before much radio; we only had the radio range, no tower, etc. NWA flew one milk run through Bozeman each way every day. It used a DC-3 and for a short time the ill fated Martin 202. When these planes got close, the station manager would hoist a device called a trilon up a tall flag pole. It could be seen on the down wind, cross wind and final leg as a warning a large aircraft was approaching the airport. It was 4 sided, each side was triangular, it was about 6 feet tall and was painted bright colors which "might" have been to CAA requirements. Just wondering if any of the "Mature Timers" recall the colors.
