I wanted a mil.style repaint for my Iris BD-5J and since i coulden't find one at the usual places i decided to try my hands on making one.
I know it's not perfekt but, hey. It's my first ever atempt at repainting an aircraft.

This is how my personal ride looks:

Congratulations!

Beware, painting aircraft can become slightly addictive...:d

Looks great.

Doing a repaint will give you a small taste of what level of effort is really involved with creating new skins for planes in the sim.

Many thanks to all the painters out there for the hard work they do that the rest of us may enjoy. :salute:

Very nice work Peter,

It's a fun little aircraft isn't it! Great for buzzing around the valleys :salute:

That looks awesome, and the basic truth of the matter is that the BD5J WAS used by the military. They used them as piloted simulacrums for cruise missiles and were called SMART-1, During some testing phase for something they were developing, during which time they were operated by FreedomJet..

Sorry for the forever sentence.. My writing skills seem to have gone out the window this morning..

Thanks for all the kind words guys. Your right that repainting is addictive. im already planning a redbull racing type BD-5J and a plain grey ukmil T-38 (i'm a huge fan of the F-5 type).
