My old Dell 8300 is dying. I would like to upgrade to something that would run FSX, maybe not maxed out but close to it. This is not my first choice, my wallet said no to that.

i7-875k Unclocked processor
EVGA P55 FTW SLI Motherboard
EVGA 01G-P3-1373-AR GeForce GTX460 SuperClocked Video Card 1GB
Thermaitake 850w PSU
8BG DDR3 Ram
WD Caviar Blue Hard Drive 320GB
Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit

Have read all, I think, past posts on computer upgrades. So many choices :isadizzy:
Thanks

Everything looks good but trade that Caviar Blue for a 300GB Western Digital Raptor 10,000 rpm makes a big difference when loading CFS3 or FSX scenery

Would it not be better to bump the operating system up to Window 7 Professional 64 Bit too?

Thanks Stratobat... just when I thought things where coming togather...more decisions, more dead brain cells :bump:
Seriously, Ive done a quick comparison of the two and other than the increase in Ram, I didn't see any other feature that I might use. Am I missing something here ? This is basically my home/fun computer. My wife and grandkids have their own computers to mess up. :jump:

Windows 7 Pro 64 bit is the best of the Windows 7 line up. 64 bit architecture allows for using more than 4 GB of RAM. Windows 7 Pro allows you to run in Windows XP mode, giving you the ability to properly run programs that only work in Win XP.
