FS9 ALPHA F8F Bearcat

I tried converting the ALPHA F8F Bearcat to cfs2 and there is a problem.

When I try to fly it. It says Failed to start up the flight model Alpha F8F-1 Bearcat.

Stick with the CFS2 Alpha if you like a VC with working gauges. The FS9 version does not have working gauges. It has shine, it has all animations, but when it was made for FS9, the sim was new and few folks understood how to make gauges work in the VC in the sim.

I haven't tried converting the FS9 Bearcat to CFS2...will give it a try a bit later and see what I can come up with.

This usually is because the airfile is from FS2004 and is missing some of the fields that CFS2 requires. Over the years MS has moved some of the flight parameters out of the airfile and into the aircraft.cfg.

Try copying an airfile from the CFS2 version of the Bearcat and see if it works.
