i'm building...or actually upgrading an existing AMD based pc and i'm limited by the size of the innerds of the case as to what video card i can use so...

my question is which one should i git for FSX etc...?

it has to be a single slot cause there aint enough room for one of those double slot superduper sized gpu's.

oh and the cpu is Athlon 64 X2 6000+ 3.1gig and i got 4g RAM.

What type slot is on the mobo ( agp or pci-e)? The 8800GT, 9600GT and a few 9800GT's (pci-e) are single slot cards and there are a few ATI 4850's that are single slot.

its pci-e. i been looking at all those you listed but i'm just not sure what i can shoe horn in the case. i can't seem to find exact dimensions on any of the cards...although i've seen some comments that Gigabyte has some nvidia cards that are slightly smaller in size than other brands.

i see you have a evga 8800GTS....and i have had much better luck with nvidia based cards in the past so i'm kinda leaning that direction.

Some of the gigabyte boards are smaller, but finding the one with the right dimensions could be hard. Could you move the hd/d if you needed to, maybe to a 5.25 bay if you have a spare one?
