Hi Can anyone remember what you had to do, to get an fs9 cockpit to be the correct size in fsx. so you do not get the black bar at the bottom?

Easiest way I find is to open the panel.cfg & look for a line that reads:

render_3d_window=1 (note: may occour more than once)

and delete it, then save the panel.cfg

Always backup the cfg first!

Don't know about that, but the normal fix is to open the panel.cfg file and scroll to the bottom and change the last entry "Y" to 5363:
[Default View]
X=0
Y=0
SIZE_X=8192
SIZE_Y=2506 - change to 5363

[Default View] section (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc526956.aspx#default_view) <-- this will tell you the size x/y that should help cleanup the black bar issue...

Sorry I don't have FSX installed on this laptop so I can't look at a panel.cfg to give examples of it but you can open a panel.cfg for a plane you like that works and see what the settings are in there for it.
