I was told that Shetchup software is easier to use than Gmax or FSDS. I know that some folks in Cal classic have built classic airport bldgs with this software. So anyone knows if people are using it to build aircraft for FSX that can have VCs?

thanks,
Sid

Yes you can.
If fact, Rooster from Pilote-virtuel.com (french forum) posted some time ago some screenshots showing some virtual cockpits (early developpment) that he could build quite quickly:

You can only get so far modeling aircraft with SketchUp since you will still need GMax to do all the animations and other advanced features that an aircraft needs. But if you want to model some scenery objects (without animations), then using Sketchup is certainly an option.
