Okay guys,
I have finished up Richard Bong's 40 air victories and he is being sent back to the States at the end of a very successful career in the southwest Pacific from New Guinea, to Dutch East Indies and finally Leyte, Philippines. The Campaign runs from December, 1942 through December, 1944. I have modified the campaign cmg file to include all 31 missions and it seems to work on my machine. I have used Morton's utility to cut down on add-on aircraft from my original 3 Aces High Campaigns finished earlier. I will be putting together a new README text file to call attention to the changes.

I need some volunteer test pilots before I actually upload for everyone.

I have about three more missions for Tommy McGuire. Unfortunately, his last mission is his last mission. As most of you know, he is KIA on his last mission. I have not yet determined whether I will build that one. In any case, McGuire's are most likely going to be done latter today or possibly tomorrow. (I twisted funny on Friday and screwed up my lower back. Been on Motrin, [Army answer to all pain]. and ice and heat for last 2 days). Sitting at computer with ice packs and heating pad is as comfortable as anywhere else..........

Anyone interested in testing the Bong Campaign, please send me a PM or email.
Thanks

Rami

Devildog,

This is outstanding! I will approve this immediately when it's ready. I may just have to give this a whirl! :wiggle:

Finished all of the missions. Just need to complete the cmg file.

I am off work tomorrow and will complete the cmg for all of the mission files into a single campaign.

Anyone interested in beta testing?

Oh, and to all the Marines that are a year older today than yesterday; Semper Fidelis! And Happy B-lated Birthday.

To all fellow veterans, Happy Veterans Day, and thank you for your service!

Cmg file complete.
I sent a copy to Olaf1924, who is beta testing and one to Rami as a preview.

If everything works for Olaf1924 without issues, I will upload on both Bong and McGuire on Sunday.

I am beta testing mission #23 and I am missing inf_atlantic wall_bunker 6 . I searched for fortyfive minutes with no luck. IT seems strange to me needing an atlantic wall bunker and italian cruiser for a pto mission. :salute:

I am not sure who's scenery calls for it, but I had a devil of a time finding it as well.

Oh, and you have to add to mdlnames also.

I will zip them down into the upload, so that everyone has them as part of the package.

UPDATE: according to Jagd's mega pack, those are: Stiz Library Objects and Normandy Fortifications.
I cannot find them anywhere on the net.

Devildog I still get the error message saying inf_atlantic wall_bunker6 is missing. The file you posted contains only OBJECTS_DP no scenery or textures.

Olaf,
I know. I have searched my HD and there are no bgls or bmps with those names.
They must be included in another bgl file of a different name.
Maybe Jagd, will be able to shed some light on this once he gets online.
Sorry, I don't know which scenery files these are in.

sc7500 thank you for the missing object . The same mission now says that I am missing model wep_mk53_depth_bomb. I never heard of a depth bomb just a depth charge.

Sorry guys.
I did not build the aircraft nor the dps that call for weapons systems.

I must have all of the called for weapons installed, because I have not run into any of those errors.

Rami,
If possible can you change out the image to the original? I am on laptop and only had the small image available.

I have corrected as many of the little irritations that were made apparent to me. Hopefully you all will not have any problems with the missions.

BTW, I have been flying Talon's Leyte 1944. It is a very enjoyable set of missions. I have only died a few times. The nice thing about Talon's rendition is that you can fly them in missions until you get them down, then go into the campaign and successfully fly them.

DDog, some of the newer folks may not have all the weapons packs - that's how we learn !

RAMI - Should I ZIP all my weapons files [as complete as I can make the collection (for now)] and upload it for the Masses ?

Let me see what I can do.

Worst case scenario, I can just post them here [or email them] 'as needed' correct ?

I fixed the pictures as you requested, and I also made sure to look at the .cmg files and made the needed corrections for ya.

There are three links I can’t use:

7) You’ll need Peter Mercy’s 348th FS version of Krzysztof Malinowski’s P-47D-20-RA
Location: http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/local_links_search.php?action=show&userid=49686&sort=d (http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/local_links_search.php?action=show&userid=49686&sort=d)

And 13: FDG A-20: http://www.datasistemi.net/Cfs2_d/FDG_A20_Setup_v11.zip&id=669 (http://www.datasistemi.net/Cfs2_d/FDG_A20_Setup_v11.zip&id=669)

I searched, but could not find these planes.

The link to maskrider’s site is dead too.

Cees,
That is one of the drawbacks of posting links in our "README" files. Some of those links, when the file was written, worked. Time, hackers, changes in web-sites, etc., change all of that.

Along comes SOH and our wonderful forum here! Broken, outdated, missing links, can be brought up here and someone here is going to have a workable solution.

Of course there will be a solution Lee. That's why I brought it up. Lets give the readme an upgrade! Thanks for your work BTW!

When you are ready to do so, compile a list of the file links that need updating, and we'll cobble together an update.

I will go through the readme files on the Aces Campaigns and check each link and then make one readme for all of them.
