I am wondering if i ougth to purchase traffic X.
I have a few queries that i hope that one of you Traffic X owners can answer.

1. Does traffic X allow user to any aircraft (including helicopters) that the user has in his SimObjects folder to be used as AI traffic?
2. Does traffic X allow users to schedule traffic between airports/flying boat ports according to the user's choice?
3. Is traffic X user friendly?
Thank you.

1.) You can use any aircraft (default, third-party, helicopter etc) as AI traffic in Traffic X.
2.) You have complete control over flight plans/routes in Traffic X. You can schedule traffic to/from any airport or airfield that has suitable parking etc.
3.) I'll let others share their opinions on user friendliness.

I created a couple of fairly comprehensive tutorials for use with Traffic X that you could download to give you a better idea of what is possible:

Used Traffic and Traffic X for about three years and while I liked their add on packs, found their data base a bit dated and unrealistic. I had many British Commuters flying out of SEATAC and many other CONUS airports. Also, had the Space Shuttle parked at SEATAC on a jetway.....

The upside is it will incorporate all of your fleet database as AI, however, be forewarned that most of your fleet database is not very poly count friendly and will bog your system horribly.

You can manage your own flight plans, but all Traffic databases, such as My Traffic5.3 and Ultimate Traffic, allow you to do this as well.

Traffic X also has many outdated livery schemes (eye candy) and their anti piracy protection scheme was not very easy to update with Just Flight, which is why I ultimately went with MyTraffic 5.3.

MT5.3 is much more current with regards to liveries, routes and AI aircraft then Traffic X was. Mr Renk is very much in touch with his customer requests and inqueries. MT5.3 continues to release updates and patches that usually incoporate updated liveries and AI traffic. Their military database is superb!

Anyway, just my .02. Many may disagree, but also experienced with both programs from JF and Sim Market. Also, in their forums (MyTraffic5.3), I am certain you will find many converts from all the other traffic programs and most have converted because of what I described above.

Here's a copy of their etailer's website Sim Market. I would ask that you just cruise over to their forum and find out for yourself. I know that many of the Traffic AI programs have the ability to incorporate heli traffic, however, they take off conventionally and always from runways. I purchased Flight1 Helitraffic to boost my helipad useage. It works quite well with all Traffic programs.
