Have never given this any thought before I began using FSMetars....but can CFS2 show the 4 seasons? Now that winter is coming on, I have a hankering to fly over snow covered mountains and valleys.

Thanks Miami...will check them out. So, to have winter, all I need do is replace the scenery files?

Obio,

Also check for Rhumbaflappy's files over at avsim or flightsim.com. Both his and Simonu's work very well. Dick pioneered the process for CFS 2.

To install you will need to "globalize" your scenery, but the readme files explain this or if you have trouble let me know.

If done correctly, you can turn each season on or off through the Scenery Library by activating it and deactivating the others. Takes just a second. I use the autumn textures for Spain and the Spanish Civil War. It helps Spain look like... Spain. Some of Achim's recently released airfield packages have a winter texture set for just this purpose.

PSULLYKEYS did some "Infrastructure re-texture" packages (15?) that have the buildings etc. in winter textures plus others for Euro, Pac & Desert in each package.

The detail is AMAZING!!! :jawdrop: Nice work Sully!! :medals::medals:

Thanks Dirt.... oldie - requires you to have different installs, or a way to change the textures on the stock infrastructure objects.

Last year I desertized, winterized and europeanized all of the stock inf. objects. They are in the downloads here at SOH.

Thanks for the tips guys. Will set up my installs for the 4 seasons....kind of odd flying around with heavy snow falling and the grass being 4th of July green.

Does this [weather] section replace the [weather] section in cfs2.cfg?....or does it go somewhere else?
