This ( I think) the same one that was released at 'Classic British Files' a few months ago.

Sorry - new on flightsim today, and I hadn't been on cbfs for a few weeks. Hadn't seen here either - sorry if this is old news.

Still, a very nice bird.

While Rob's F3 has been out for some time and I have it I went to check on Classic British Files to see if it is the same but could only find the AI version there.

The model date on the Flightsim.com site is new ?

Seems this is a updated version of what was on CBF's so worth a download.

Just following up on this ... any repaints out there ... surprised no one's jumped on this lovely model ....

Think of the possibilities ....

never mind the various exports ... just food for thought

I know this question is a little off topic, but since there a currently about [3] threads on the fabulous British Vampire, I'm looking for that old VHS movie..I think from the 1950's or 1960's about cadet training that has beautiful footage of the Vampire and of course IIRC a love story inserted.

I think it was called the "High Flight" or "High Life" or something like that.

Many thanks to anyone who could properly direct me! :salute:

I think this is the film you're after ...

Would love to find a copy of that .... looks like an enjoyable way to spend an hour and a half ... at least until Henry finishes the repaints! :)

Yes, thanks delta_lima. I found a little more info over at the Turner Classic Movies website and I forgot to repost here. I could have sworn that a year or two ago I saw that it was available in VHS format over at Amazon.
However it seems to be "not available" anymore.

I've always liked Vampires, and not the sparkly boy-band type...

Nice one Gunny

And thats a hell of a good read

And Delta Lima - if you leave a note over at the Pond for Peter Watkins he may be able to accommodate you.

I not sure why anyone never painted the FAA one

These have not advanced much and it needs a much better whitewasher than me.

Probably the FAA paint has not been done because the model does not have a hook.

Agreed Rich - the hooked F 20 model would have been delightful, and it's absence likely explains that repaint's absence. That said, you've nailed the colours quite nicely. Nothing wrong with that so far!

Thanks for the suggestion Leif - will maybe hold off for a wee bit, since it fairness, Peter's RCN Sea Hornet was a big favour already, and I'm still enjoying that quite a bit. Henry William hinted at maybe looking at a RN Vampire in that massive list of repaints he's got for it. I'm happy to see what comes of that, and then see about requesting it if it doesn't make on the list. I'd never want to be the cause of duplication of work on the part of any of these great repainters.
