I don't know. The family has several citrus trees in their yard. The skin is smooth. You can see so in the original RAW file. They look almost like something from the peach family.

I don't know if you can see the dew drops on them in that smaller photo?

When I looked at them a bit I thought they might have been ripe Persimmon's. Not sure now but they don't look like the typical shape.
