Hi, I am still puzzling over how to have red/green/blue/white lights in a VC panel. I use FSDS a lot, but that really should'nt matter any.

I thought that if I can have a bright red/blue/green/yellow lights, i can slave their animations to various VC switches and levers so that the lights change color as the battery switch is tuned on or the landing gear is extended...stuff like that.

I know this can be done because Jens Kristensen does it a lot in his FSDS aircraft.

So, please, plesae, can someone teach me how this can be done using MakeMDl?

Thanks,
Sid

You'll have to create a new custom <visibility> entry in the Modeldef.xml with the conditions that make the light appear/disappear, create some dummy geometry in FSDS and attach the lighting effect and your custom visibility <visibility> tag to it.

So much for the general procedure. As a (G)Max'er I have no idea how you can do it in FSDS 'though.

I suggest asking over at Freeflight Design, the members there know their way around FSDS.</visibility></visibility>
