Huub, like lot of members here, occasionally post shots of aircraft they enjoy without any mention of what is until someone asks. They, like Huub are just reminiscing here on the forum like the rest of us.
....Here's a pat on the back for ya Huub. You rightfully deserve it my friend. :ernae:

Little does he know, I have been very watchful ever since coming acquainted with him and his postings here at the outhouse. Why you ask? Because Huub has a taste in aircraft very similar to myself. And I learned long ago to heed any gestures he gives. Since doing that I have downloaded several great freeware models that really show good by the ones that made them. Huub doesn't know this, but I appreciate what he doesn't necessarily point out.

Lastly was the Bristol Beaufighter by Dave Garwood. A very nicely done, freeware aircraft.

.....Thank You Mr. Garwood. I enjoy your work very much. And look forward to anything you might share in the future.

And...
Thank You Huub.

I highly suggest everyone try this model.

Must apologize as I knew that my paintshop signature would interfere. I had nothing to do with the repaint depicted. and I don't know if Huub did either.
....I merely forgot to remove the banner from my picture program. oops:173go1:

If you like low and slow try Dave's Auster J1 for FSX.

It's a fantastic freeware model, highly detailed (especially in the VC) and is a joy to fly. The FM is spot on and you can almost hover on the approach (just like the real thing). I have the A2A Cub and yet I find myself spending more time in the J1 when it comes to back-country short hop flights.

Oh, if you get it make sure you open the door in flight too! :icon_lol:

Laughing, I'm putting on the parachute first as I feel I might be ejected sideways.
.....Thanks Larry. I'll definitely try it.

The Auster J1 is indeed a nice one. I remember trying this one in fs2004. In fact I think it's the same one I started a repaint on and never finished. I like it in FSX more so as I think it represents itself better and as it is in real life.

One thing annoying are the engine sounds. They sound hollow and as if listening from the end of a large pipe resonating the sound waves as they bounce along to my ear. Is there a fix for this?
...I've no idea if my sound card is causing this. I doubt it as I've had this occur on a couple other FSX sound files.

Aaah well, It could have been a paint from Huub :bump:.
It is an excellent bird, and a nice liverey. One that is at glance in my hangar!
Must say i'm joyfull the Beaufighter is available as freeware, because the bird is definatly payware quality.

I whole heartedly agree. I'm looking forward to Mr. Garwoods native Mosquito now.
...By the way, I tried searching for any info related over at cbfsim(dot)org, but found nothing. Does anyone have a link where I might have a peek?

There's some pics of the Mossie here: http://www.cbfsim.org/cbfsim/cbfsBB/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=20049

BTW, I've only made an Auster for FSX, the FS9 one you're refering to isn't mine ;)

...Oops. Boy am I putting my foot in my mouth a lot today. That was Mr. Molyeneau ( I butchered his name. My apologies)

Edit; Now if you could have seen the drool I just wiped from my keyboard. It looks like it will be another hit with me :)
