Most are so rare...some of them are unknown to me :isadizzy:

By Fokker 23 do you mean the D.XXIII? If so, I have one somewhere, so it has been done. Now I only have to find it, and hopefully identify the creator.

By the way, if this is the right moment to cry for some more planes, I'd say early Messerschmitt Bf 109's (B to D, the Junkers Jumo powered ones). The ones around are very, very old.

That is quite astounding!

I think you might mean the Supermarine Stranraer pepe!;)

But that does bring to the fore a couple of others:

Short Singapore
Saro London
Both which saw wartime service along with the Stranaer

Pepe, the Oldwheat/Scrubb/Dombral Curtis Hawk75 (with your panels and Kelticheart's props)Thai version has rekindled my interest in rare aircraft. That's one deadly little plane with the gunpods. I dogfight Zeros in it and win.

One thing sadly lacking for CFS2 is the 1948/56 Middle east conflicts. I could stand the '67/'73 wars too, but the early conflicts are something I hunger to fight. FLIGHT SIMULATORS has the Czech Bf-109 for FS9. I'm looking to see if someone has this plane and if it can be converted to CFS2. Pombee has given me much in the way of the Middle East conflicts, we need missions and planes. I'm sure the Spitfire/Mustang/109 lovers out there could do a very good job on these aircraft. That's the beginning of my little wishlist. You and many others have helped me fulfill my big three wishes for trainer/civilian machines: The Beech Staggerwing, The BF108, the YAK-52. My next big wish is the Czech "Mezec", the 109 in both Czech and Israeli colors.

Carry on my friend:salute:

Baldy made a good Singapore, but we need a Saro London. I began, a long time ago, a Calcutta conversion. The French flew them in 1939!

There already is a DO18:
20002

"This is a converted model for CFS2 of Paul Clawson's nice Do 18 seaplane. Please see his original readme which is included. Thanks Bearcat241 for making the air and cfg files.
Texture is for a Do 18 G-1 of 2./Kü.Fl.Gr. 106, Brest, August 1940, during the Battle of Britain.
For proper visual appearence you need Paul Rebuffat's Li-2 conversion for the upper turret, dBolt's german weapons, Martin Wright's raf_pilot (spit_pack), groundcrew's Bf110 Zerstörer weapons and the Lewis gun, which came with the Supermarine Walrus conversion.

Dear Mr. Pepe,
Just a question . I thought the French Calcutta was built by Breguet as the Breguet 521 Bizerte and I thought Baldy did one?
You also mention that the Arado Ar96 is available , could you please point me in the general direction so that I can download it and take a flight .

One last thing if someone can reply , Mr Pepe or anyone who reads this forum !!!
I cannot get the Avro Manchester (Jed"s conversion of a Ted Cook original)to show up in CFS2 no matter what I do !!!!!!!!! I must have tried a hundred times with no success .
Any help from anybody would really be appreciated .

About 2 years ago I asked Akemi to contact Mas and suggest that he upload the B4Y1, and Mas didn't want to. Maybe he wasn't satisfied with the level of detail, I don't know. Looks pretty good on his website.

About Arado... I found this beauty:

An Arado 95 float plane, is the 11st plane on the list. Sadly, is for Strike Fighter series. Unless any of you is a friend of Capun, the designer, and can ask for the 3d model.

The Arado 96 is a converted FS2004 plane. I never contacted the maker to authorize its upload... If you wish, I can pick it and clean it to send to you. PM me.

About the Bizerte, it was a Calcutta development. The French used both, including in 1940.

I would like the following WWII aircraft.

Originally from Alphasim/Virtavia but updated:
B-17 Flying Fortresses
B-26 Marauder
de Havilland Mosquito
Handley Page Hampden

Other models that i would like to see made in gmax:
H8K2 Emily
Handley Page Hereford
Hawker Typhoon Early and Late models
Ki-84 Hayate
N1K1-J Shiden
A reworked N1K2-J Shiden with four bladed medium blurred prop
P-40 Warhawk series (P-40B through P-40N and possibly a what if P-40Q)
P-47D-25 Thunderbolt
P-51A Mustang, Mustang Mk 1, Mk 1A and Mk 2 and A-36 Apache
P-51B Mustang / Mustang Mk 3
P-51K Mustang (P-51D with smaller diameter prop)
P-63 KingCobra

For Dasuto, but not the cfs1 model that doesn't allow modification as there is one for cfs2 that might be updateable:
F1M2 Pete

The Pete that I know of is a FS98/CFS1 model and I can't update it as the read me forbids it.
Doing the P-51K Mustang isn't worth the time.
P-47D-25 Thunderbolt done. http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/local_links.php?catid=52&linkid=13706
P-40 Warhawks. Seen a buch of them in the lib.
N1K2-J Shiden just a prop texture edited needed.

Alphasim/Virtavia
They are a mixed bag. Some a really complex and updating them would be more work then scrach building new ones.

Hawker Typhoons. Did look into re-working the Tempest to be one but since CFS2s AI can't hit a ground target above sea level for crap never got vary far.

Well, I tried your P-47D-25, but i am unsatisfied with the prop disc model showing shadow and the shining making the disc opaque when effects like the gun muzzle flash and engine startup smoke is triggered on the sim.
Also one of the landing gear doesn't have damping animation nor the wheel on the said gear spins. Sorry for not saying what I meant to say.

Even if you want to make scratch builds of the b-17 flying fortresses and the B-26 Marauder, go right ahead.

Part of me wants to get a fly swater and hit you with it but my P-47D-25 dose need work. It took a few hours to decode the old gMax as it is quite a mess thanks to MS part naming set up to make since of things but all is animations have been fixed prop now has the needed transparency done to the material it self. Pilot is now attached to the model and will be removed by the game when used as static object like all stock models do for pilots/crews.

I do have to update the DP for the M10 triple-tube rocket launchers I did for the P-47D Razorback (P-47D-23). http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/local_links.php?catid=52&linkid=19781

New aircraft types will close the gaps, not more versions of models we already have.

That said, I also understand the desire to have multi-LOD, repaint friendly versions of some of the older aircraft.:costumed-smiley-034

My additions to the list would be:

Kyushu K11W Crysanthemum trainer/ kamikaze (798 made) I don't think it's ever been made for any version of FS or CFS.

Mitsubishi Ki-21 Sally (early, late & converted transport - total 2064 made) perhaps from Wolfis Ki-57 files. At least we'd have something multi LOD & repaint friendly. At the moment we have a Pakayan converted from FS8/9 (early) & Bruno Duffort's (late), but BR won't allow repaints or mods.:dejection:

firstly I'd just like to echo the above thanks to Pepe but also to all the other people designing and skinning - Thank you very much!!

In addition to some of the missing aircraft already pointed out (that are on my wish list too!) I believe the following aircraft were all active in WWII but have never been done for CFS2 (or any MS sim in a couple of cases):

E14Y Glen

Breda 65 with rear turret

Tachikawa Ki-54 Hickory

Me 262A-2a Schwalbe - there's one built into CFS3, but not available for CFS2

DH Mosquito F.B.XVIII - there's one built into CFS3, but not available for CFS2

Fairey Gordon

Hawker Nisr

Martin B-26G Marauder - there's one built into CFS3, but not available for CFS2

Letov S 328

Repulogpegyar Levente II

Weiss Wm 21 Solyom

Handley-Page Harrow

Cheers,

Steve

Well, I have no more ideas.
Maybe I am a supporter of Allen.

If you want my convert from stock P-38F a P-38J in gMax fourm let me know. While I put up most of the models I scrach build for download I'm not too sure it would be a good idea tp put the the MS models in gMax fourm. It may more than MS could take.

Thought of some more:

He 114

DC-2

Lockheed Lodestar

all used operationally (albeit not in great numbers) in WWII but never done for CFS2 (AFAIK).

The sheer amount of work that has kept CFS 2 relevant and an even better sim than when released is just amazing.I purchased CFS 2 when first released and loved it, after a couple years lost interest though, unaware of SOH.I decided wanted to fly it one day and figured surely there are some mods etc, googled and found SOH and other sites.Secondly, the community is welcoming and helpful to FNG's such as myself.

I did look at the Alpha Sim Martin B-26 Marauder but I can't get the model to open right in Model Converter X. It is an rare one that will only give me the lowest LOD and it is useless.

I'm looking at B-26C15 "Big Ass Bird" over at SimV http://simviation.com/1/search?submit=1&keywords=B-26&categoryId=&page=3&filename= It is freeware and dosn't say it can't be edited. All it says is that it must remain free if uploaded to other places. The model dosen't import into Model Conveter X cleanly (animation errors) and is a polygon hog.

You need to fix your download links. They all dump me to fake websites that say I need to do a security update or a Java update.

Allen,
There are ways to get the mdl.....

Attached is a file which contains each LOD mdl as 3ds files from the Alpha B26, if they are of any help.

Cheers

First, thanks for all the fantastic work you do ,:applause: second, thanks for pointing this out - the links work fine for me using IE 8 & Chrome, but I have had 409 downloads for this item ( 14 since my post above ) - I have had one similar complaint from one other - so here's the direct link for you and anyone else having trouble :

I'll look at it. Also what did you do to be able to get them. Rami once asked me to look at some polish aircrafts and I ran into the same bug.

Using IE8 and it first dumped me to security-issue.xyz so I Ctrl Alt Del out of it and went back and than got sent to bestdownloads11.com. I was looking at one of your Bf110 skins to see if I could re-jig them to fit my Bf110. I was there looking for B-26 skins but got distracted...

I make make use of your skins. I can't texture my way out of a damp paper bag.

I stated messing with P-38L that was made a pathfinder. It not a droopsnoot as it's nose is not the same. The pathfinder has ground-mapping radar.
