Passed slightly south of it at FL340 a few hours ago IRL. No turbulence at all on the north atlantic track but the temperature increased to ISA +22deg....The waves below were a different story. Not really survivable for a ditching today!

Cheers

Bernt

Actually, It's up off the coast of Newfoundland and sorta kinda heading north.. Its been reduced to a tropical storm ( or it never fully developed into a hurricane ) and frankly, i've gone sailing in stronger winds ( with a trimaran ) , but i aint gonna sneeze at it yet.. Quite a few of the gusts almost rolled me over and keeping the plane semi level meant full aileron at times.. Felt like i was inside a beachball that some two year old was playing with.. i wish i had a weather radar in there so i could actually figure out what the sim is doing and compare it to NOAA, but i cant afford even the CS offering at this point.. I tried reinstalling my old RXP gauges but they dont work any more, nd it doesnt look like theyve done anything on their site since 2008.. Oh well.. Its still a lot of fun seeking out the extreme weather and doing some extreme sightseeing ;)..
