well the weather folks have been saying to expect artic like conditions all week, so most of us just thought we'd get a few cold winds .. well we got the wind, but it also brought some snow with it as well. So naturaly, at around half 7 in the morning seeing as how me mum and brother where up i draged them out for a walk with the dogs :d

Looking down the street:

We decided to stop off at me nans house and pick up her dog as well. View from me nans drive:

It snowed pretty much all the way up to the fields where we walk our dogs, bout 35 mins walk away.

looking out across the field back towards the village, sheep in this one today so we couldnt let the dogs off:

LOL Great and interesting pics stiz. It was nice of you to get everyone out of the warm house to get some exercise, enjoy the fresh air, and new snow. :ernae: Love the dog shots too ... they appeared happy and appreciative of the walk. :jump:

Awwwwwww Stiz! Your dogs are so darn cute!!! Muttley is just adorable! We just adopted a "mutt" of our own a few weeks ago. We got him from the humane society. He's a black & white mix pointer/terrier. We named him Shadow.

Anyways...we have snow as well in Pittsburgh, PA. Yay! Love snow! The more the merrier! Our dog loves it as well, he runs around and then stops to drag his nose in the snow, etc. So funny to watch!

Beautiful pictures by the way! The scenery is very quaint! Charming little village nestled in a valley it seems. :wavey:

Thanks for sharing pictures of your "neck of the woods." I really enjoyed!

LOL, now that bloody well looks like a "Muttley" too! :costumes:

Beautiful shots stiz. Only a small pasting of snow where I reside on this side of the pond. Beautiful country you live in mate.

Muttley looks like he could very well be a rascal! :d

glad you guys + gal liked the pics :wavey:

they appeared happy and appreciative of the walk

i dont think jeff was to impressed by the end though, we picked him up at our local RSPCA kenals where they said he'd been a crutely case, he had a major lice problem and they had to pretty much shave him, his furs grown back but it seems to lack that oily waterproofness that dogs have, just goes straight to his skin :frown:

Charming little village nestled in a valley it seems

yup, where on the slop of the vally if that makes sense :isadizzy:

Beautiful country you live in mate

tis indeed, wouldnt swap it for anywhere else, well maybe for the highlands of scotland, but thats fulla mossis :banghead:

Muttley looks like he could very well be a rascal! :d

hes deffenitly a character! :d

Stiz Thanks for Posting enjoyed the Pics :ernae:

Having lived in Eastern Ohio most of my life I know what that is like but now living in southern Florida I have not seen snow in 3 years. I always loved a good Fall day and nice Winter Snow falls not to mention the Beauty of Spring. Here it is almost the same season year round. Time just seems to run together with no seperation to tell you another year is passing. We get some cool weather by my standards but never anything I would consider Cold.

Thank's stiz takes me back to my tourer in the UK 1989-1991. Ah another "dull gray day" as the weather presenter would say. You photos remind me of found memories on my walk about's.

Lovely

Welcome to my world, stiz... :costumes:

We woke up to an inch of fresh snow this morning. Already down to single digits now, although at least most of the ice from the blizzard earlier this month is gone. I like snow better than ice on the ground. :snowman:

Gee I hate global warming...

stiz,
Your pooch 'mutters/brown rat' looks like a real character. I can't imagine him giving quarter to any other dog. He has that demeanor look of 'all business.'
If I was a Neanderthal man,....living in a cave somewhere thousands of years ago,....mutter would be the dog I'd want to have. From hunting down woolly mammoths to fending of saber tooth tigers,....he'd be up for the challenge.

Hi Stiz,
Looks real nice up your end of the country.Reminded me a bit of when we lived in the Peak Distrct National Park.Moved to N walesnow and not a sign of the wind or snow.It is warm enough here at the moment to go out in just a sweatshirt.

Nice pics Stiz. :applause: Some of the ones at the top look like parts of COD. Especially the the old castle/watch tower photo. :d

We've had a couple of short 20 minute blizzards here. Still a bit of snow left but it's mostly melted off. At least the two large dogs like the snow by the looks of it. But Mutters looks like he's ready for a warmer spot to play. :costumes:

Great pics Stiz, thanks for sharing. looks like a lovely place to be.

I used to love the snow when I was young (rarely snows in TX), used to dream about the winter wonderlands, a white Christmas and snowmen and how everything was covered in white. Now that I am a workaholic, all snow means is my employees will be trying to call in because they are scared to drive in the stuff and I have to threaten to kill them if they don't show up, bummer, takes the beauty right out of the season, LOL.

Stiz,

Thanks for the photo's.

Don't get me wrong, I love living in Florida, but I grew up in Alaska and spent much of my adult life in Germany, so I miss the snow sometimes.

I'll post some photo's from my pool in Jan - Feb time frame, when you've had enough of the stuff....

Stiz, your last 3 pictures remind me of where I used to hunt up in Northern NY. Absolutely beautiful! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v64/GT182/Thumbup.gif

I can picture a 10 point buck stepping out of the woods in that 2nd to last picture. :d It looks almost like the spot where I shot my first buck back in 81.... a 7 point.
