Here's another rough and course video from a camera attached to my head. The first bit is while descending into Toronto, and the second bit is on the taxiway where we crossed paths with the A-380. I had a female FO, and you can hear her trying to get her camera to work (unsuccesfully) as it goes by.

Were you going into Pearson or the Island Bone? It was hard to tell from that video as it looked like you were passing between the two when it cut to the ground shots although I guess it would be a bit difficult to get an A380 into the Island...or out again...lol.

I have flown into both (as a passenger) several times and the Island approach/departure is always a fun ride.

We go to Pearson. I'd like to go into that other one, it looks like fun.

Thanks for that Bone, I did not know the 380 was coming into Toronto, I would love to see one sometime.

I have flown into and out of Toronto Island several times and it is an amazing experience, I used to attend meetings in Don Mills a couple times a year and always found it a real hassle getting to and from Pearson. I have a friend that works with Air Canada and she suggested Toronto Island one time and told me with the subway and the Go train I could get to the Hotel in Don Mills in half the time - SOLD! I had to make a stop in Montreal which was fine by me. The approach coming in along the lake shore at eye level with the CN Tower on final is totally amazing. I also got a great laugh when I was sitting in the lobby bar enjoying my second drink watching some other folks arrive for our meeting - they left Halifax 45 minutes before I did, on a direct flight and I was in the hotel almost 40 minutes before they arrived including my 30 stopover in Montreal...lol. The best part was one of the hot shot sales reps had to pay for my supper and drinks because I beat him there, he said there was no way I would arrive first, he didn't factor in waiting for luggage, finding a cab, and the hour + (4:30 PM traffic) from Pearson. I jumped off the CRJ, my luggage was waiting at the bottom of the step, walked to Union station, subway, Go Train and I was in the Hotel in no time - best steak I had in a long time!

I beat them all home to, but couldn't get any takers for a bet after the flight up...lol, the side note to this little tale is my flights cost half what the others did, the company paid so none of the others cared much, but I figured it was a win win, I liked the whole idea and the company saved a nice chunk of change.

Can you believe that the 380 is almost as agile as a 320 when it's empty?

As for CYTZ:

I know some C-5 guys who say it's very agile when light. There even used to be a squadron that had a low level tactical mission.

It's also a blast to watch the traffic at the island airport from the CN Tower.
