they do that if you go "bang" loud enough next to them as well ... not that i've tried or anything .. errrm ... *cough* :costumes:

actually, i have not had that experience with cows. you're probably gonna laugh at me for this...i did a job in virginia once where i came out of a crawl space to find a whole bunch of these HUGE cows between me and the work van. i thought they might trample me so i chose a route to the truck that had only one cow in the way. he wouldn't move so i hid behind a tree and threw a baseball sized rock at his butt as hard as i could, thinking he would move. he didn't even flinch! i waited behind the tree for what felt like eternity, until i had a straight run to the truck. :costumes:
