To all,

Over the coming weeks and months, I will be doing some maintenance to the Warbirds Library. My main target is to eliminate "fixes," so that the installation process is smoother and easier.

As an example...in the CFS2 Scenery section, I have taken the two scenery packages that Gius did (Madrid and Leurwwarden) and updated the files so that the fixes (missing textures, scenery .bgl files, layouts, and GSL files) are included in the original package.

This will only apply to those who have uploaded a "fix" for a file they previously uploaded into the new library.

http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforum...45&linkid=2357 (http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/local_links.php?catid=45&linkid=2357)

This will apply to all sections (FSX, FS9, CFS3, CFS2)

Also,

You can search the "new" library to find all the entries by a single user!!

The way to do this is to find a download...any one...

http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforum...44&linkid=2516 (http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/local_links.php?catid=44&linkid=2516)

And click on the "eyeglass" next to the user name. It should bring you to a screen like this...

http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforum...id=1543&sort=d (http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/local_links_search.php?action=show&userid=1543&sort=d)

The only trouble is...I'm not sure if this is a staff function or not. Would someone please do me the courtesy of checking?

Thanks,

rohan

Rami,

Do you also plan on fixing the Library itself ? Specifically, when you've made a selection on the Search screen and the search returns more than 15 files, if you then select a later page, the link has been generated incorrectly and defaults to a full Library listing instead of still listing the files resulting from the search. For example, showing files I have uploaded -

the generated incorrect link
http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/local_links_search.php?action=show&sort=N&beforeafter=1&childcats=1&page=2

the correct link that should have been generated
http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/local_links_search.php?s=&action=show&page=2&pp=15&beforeafter=1&childcats=1&desc=1&ents=1&keys=1&literal=1&user=rohan&sort=d&doit=Go

Wow thanks Rami!

That will help make the library easier to use for all!

That dang "search" function is one of the items I have never got a handle on. It's something I must figure out. I am sure it will make life much easier. Thanks, Rami, for always improving the place. Side note: for some reason my "communicatin' & skypin" pc is offline. I should be totally offline, after I play around with it, hee, hee.:salute::ernae:

Thanks,

I tried it on the Cdn. screens I did. Looks like a staff function ... took me to a page of d/l's which were related to the use of those screens.

.... or maybe I screwed up? 18163

Rami;
I tried it and if by "eye glass" you are referring to the icon that looks like a Sherlock Holmes utensil it works. I clicked on the one next to your nom-de-plume and it bought up your additions. In regards to that, I checked for some Talon additions to d/l and came up with some "404 error" messages. These files were as follows; Multibomb.zip, CATF.zip and Coralsea.zip (no space in the name as opposed to another one titled Coral_sea.zip)

Just like Rohan, I get the same if I check my own uploads - I can only view the first page, then it shows me a full listing instead for page 2 etc. ... maybe this is only if an author views his/ her own uploads?

No, I get the problem whether it's my own or anybody else's uploads that I try to list. I also get the same problem whether I use my method for searching by username or Rami's magnifying glass method. In fact, I think the problem occurs when you do any kind of search because the only multi-page listings that do seem to work properly are the very basic ones like "what's new" and the whole library contents,
