Here you go, Henry. Originally found and shared by Lefty:

1. Type about:config in the location bar and click on 'I'll be careful, I promise' on the warning screen.
2. Type blink into the Filter box.
3. Double click on browser.blink_allowed to change its value to false. Blinking text inside < blink > tags in HTML should now not blink.

OH THANK GOD!!!!! Ever since the redesign of the site the blinking thread titles have been driving me nuts! I was having to click on thread titles 3 or 4 times before it would take. I thought it was a part of the redesign and didn't want to stir up waves by complaining.

Just FYI, the fix works in SeaMonkey browser too...
