ETO in CFS2

Just a question? I seem to have a huge problem whenever I try to alter my CFS2 in to something else,..say from ETO. Like those that have modded/altered CS3 why can't someone do that for CFS2? One big self installing file that will enable soemeone as apparently dim (lol) as I am to enjoy the marvelous efforts from others? You know what I mean? Is it just me? Am I the only one with this dificulty?

You have to by kidding!

Just take your time. That upgrade for CFS3 sounds great I would like have it. Unfortualy the download link is down now.

But CFS2 converts to other Theaters perfectly and well. The best thing about it is that you will do it to your own time and flavor. You do not need anyone to do it for you. You put what want and leave out what you do not want in it.

Both method are fine. With CFS3 you most probably need a group of developers to really get together and upgrade the program since its not as easy to upgrade it by yourself.You have to be patient and wait until they are done before you can enjoy the upgrades.

With IL46 you need the patchest and Lowengrin and others developers of DCG to improve your Sim. They have done a wonderful job so have the developers of CFS3.

Now the beaty of CFS2 and what makes it special is that through its developers the upgrades are continous and you get to chose what you really want to place in your Sim as you desire taste.

Most of the time you do not have to wait for weeks and month and sometimes years to get to enjoy it.

My tip for you is to take time your while adding addons and always back it up just in case you get in trouble.

My tips on how improve European sceneries.

Europe

I installed McClelland UK sceneries.

I added Ian Elliot London upgrade and Mathias CFS1 airbases o my European Theater.

Then I added the European Coast line to my install.

You can either install Sim-outhouse or Netwings sceneries Mesh. They both are of very good quality. Its up to you.

Last but not least I recommend you down load McClelland European Scenery for CFS2. Its a must if you really want to improve this program sceneries up to grade. With his sceneries you will not only have Cities and forest but also roads.

You must install this European Texure upgrade. Its the best one in my humble opinion.

You get a cities upgrade right here in this Web. It will not make the cities look more real from 1000 feet and below but it make them look better from 1000Ft and above.

I hate CFS2 clouds. Thanks to our members there are some new clouds available as well.You can get the one from Sim-outhouse call Stiz Clouds or LW clouds. Its you choice. I have install them both in different install that I have. You also download a new Sun.

I forgot Stiz European Water. This is also a must.

They are call cfs2hw.cfs2sp,cfs2su,scfswi,and cfs2fa.Look for them through the search engine at AvSim.Warning you will have to do it Manualy, but its real easy and lots of fun once you figure it out.

First you should get Stiz wonderful World Texures.

Now I"m enjoying this Sim more than ever and I hope you are as well. Now you can fly all over the World in what ever Theater you want with visual style.

I enjoy flying as much over the European Theater as the Pacific Theater. I hope you do to. They both give me a special kind of joy.

Now you do not have any excuses. You can not tell your family you will not take them to Europe and visit London or Paris. You can"t say you can not effort to fly to the Far East. Its available with a Joystick and a good plane. You have over one thousand plane to chose from. All you have to do is wait until the war is over. Other wise you might be shot down. LoL

Just enjoy it as much as possible.

This is not the only good sceneries available for this Sim. This are my suggested sceneries only.

On the other hand, it's soooo easy to rename an aircraft in CFS2. I have 4 separate theaters: ETO, ETO, MTO and the Eastern Front. It took some time to build them and get them just right, but it was fun and I Learned a lot . I would bet the majority of SOHers have at least these 4, and I would also bet that no two are the same. In CFS 2 there is an infinite variety of almost every thing. and there's more coming every day. All the older posts are temporarily unavailable, but if they were up you would see hardly a week goes by without some excellent offerings from some of our more talanted members. Oh, did I mention the mission builder? And, I have never seen a request for help not abswered by some of our older and wiser members. :kilroy:

My ETO is basically SDC's pack which comes with beaches together with FS 2000 clouds pack generated by Active sky ,i see that you have not mentioned this alternative,my question is is it either the above or SDC's?
