Hmmm...I've looked at these at home and at work....Haven't seen any pixelation at either place...

Beautiful car. Unusual colour, was that really available then? Not the easiest colour in the resale market. Doesn't apply so much with a classic, but still holds true, how many yellow Civics have you seen?

I'm saying that MY computer at work shows the pictures pixelated, while MY computer at home shows them very sharp and clear ... SO, I'm guessing I need to update MY drivers for the work computer.

This is primarily posted for Panther, who loved the pix of my 1959 Squarebird "The Yellow Rose Of Texas" a lot. I happened to come across this link when I was searching for something else, and decided to join your Forum and give ya'll some additional information about Rose, or "Tweety Bird" as she is known as now, also. In 2007, I was making an old dream come true of finding and buying a 1959 Tbird after seeing a picture of one back in 1959 when they came out. I was sitting on a mountain top Air Force radar station at the time. When I got back to the Lower 48 assigned to Dallas, this young married couple took ourselves off to a Ford dealer to check out that gorgeous '59 Tbird. But my wife, knowing what the pocketbook could handle said that we could not afford a brand new $4,000 Classy Tbird, on what I was making as a 3 striper and what she was making working for Sears, right out of high school. Sooo, we settled for a brand new red Falcon instead. Which turned out to be a good car for us, because while stationed near Dallas, we were to add two more children to the one we already had. So the Falcon did the trick for us. But I never forgot that Tbird. In 1998, I lost my wife, Faye to ovarian cancer. About 9 years later, it dawned on me that I might want to make an old dream come true. So I went looking for a 1959 Tbird, and found one in Northern Mississippi. My mechanic buddy went with me, loaded with tools, checked out the car, blessed as being drivable back to San Antonio, and drove it home with me behind him with all the tools.

It did not take me long to realize I did not like the Casino Cream pale yellow color and no one else did either! So that started the redesign of her, with me doing the interior and exterior design work and professionals making it all happen. She still has the OEM 352 engine and COM transmission, but there has been much in improvements made on her. Disc brakes, alternator, dual MC/Dual Power Booster, and a lot of chrome work. After a couple of years she was ready for show, and off I went to many of those. Along the way, she was awarded many 1st Place and Best of Show trophies, so much so that the trunk is full of them, and I have stopped showing her for awards. Shortly after joining Squarebirds.org, the 1955-2005 Tbird and Big Ford International Forum I found myself as the Chief Administrator of the Forum, after the passing of our Founder, Dr. Alexander Sosiak, at 50 due to cancer. I have been the Administrator for about 10 years now. I am also past President, of the VTCI South Texas Thunderbird Club here in San Antonio, and presently the VP.

I had better stop typing and post some pix. I did this once, and promptly knocked myself out of this post somehow. I have a lot to learn about your Forum. Here are some pix, which seemed to have been working until I messed up and knocked myself out of this post! First is what she looked like the day I bought her, in Casino Cream and white top. When she left the factory, she had a black top. Someone painted it white along the way.

The RV6A 2 seater airplane, "Dream Catcher" is owned by a friend of mine who had flown in for a Classic Car/Airplane S&S event. He wanted to get a picture of the two of them together and said for me to drive my Tbird to the flight line to get that picture. It has shown up all over the world now, and has been used in a Squarebirds Calendar in the past. Well, lets find out how this will work for you! I thought some of the older T-birds were quite good-looking, but when they brought in Wurlitzer as stylist, things went downhill........
