Hi,I just bought FSX yesterday, and I am very new to this.I have been playing FS9 for years.I have recently seen the carrier ops,and wanted to get in on the action. So my question is do I need fsx acceleration, also for the carrier ops,and in air refueling, I have seen on youtube,or just FSX,and whats the difference between the two advantage wise. Thanks:salute:

Yeah because it has all the carrier features like cables and hooks etc...

Once you get that check out AI carriers V2

And the Nimitz Carrier (both freeware)

you need Acceleration to fully appreciate FSX...

you install over the clean fresh FSX install as Acceleration includes SP2
if you have addons in FSX - you will have to reinstall them

follow one of the many instruction threads on how to best install as you can encounter 'anomalies' if you are careless.

Afterward - you will have ADI engine boost for air racing, a functioning helicopter winch and new helo, carrier ops including catapult and trap wire functionality etc...

You don't have FSX if you don't have Acceleration..trust me - I have used FSX Gold standalone with SP1, FSX Gold patched to Sp2, and with Acceleration

there is no way I would go back
